Overview
KeenCRM's Commission Management module lets you track and manage sales commissions across your team. It supports automatic commission calculation based on configurable rules, deal-based commission splits between team members, and full payout tracking.
Key Features
Commission Rules
Rules define WHEN and HOW commissions are calculated:
- Trigger types: Deal Won, Stage Reached, Order Created, Order Delivered, Invoice Paid, Contract Signed
- Rate percent: The percentage of the deal/entity value to award as commission
- Pipeline filter: Optionally restrict a rule to a specific pipeline
- Role filter: Apply only to users with a specific role (e.g., Sales Rep)
- Duration: One-time, count-based (max N commissions), or date-based (valid until date)
- Active/Inactive: Toggle rules on and off without deleting
Commission Records
Each commission record tracks:
- Entity: The deal, order, invoice, or contract that triggered it
- User: The team member who earned it
- Amount: Calculated automatically from the rule's rate and entity value
- Status: Pending → Earned → Paid Out (or Cancelled)
- Split percent: If the commission is shared, shows each member's share
Commission Splits
Split commissions between multiple team members on a single deal:
- Open the Manage Split modal (👥 icon) on any deal row
- Add team members and assign percentage or fixed-amount splits
- Splits auto-create commission records for each member when saved
- When a member is removed from a split, their commission record is also removed
My Commissions vs Team View
- My Commissions tab: Shows only YOUR commission records and your personal tally
- Team tab: Shows all commission records across the team (managers only)
- Tally cards: Show Total Earned, Total Paid Out, Pending, and Deal Count for the selected view and time period
Payouts
- Click "Mark Paid Out" on any earned commission to record the payout
- The payout date is tracked and the status changes to "Paid Out"
Time Filters
Use Week, Month, Quarter, or Year filters to view commissions for specific periods. The tally cards and records list both update based on the selected time range.
Export
Export commission data as CSV or XLSX from the Export dropdown.
