Contract Management — Creating & Signing Contracts

Overview

KeenCRM's Contract module lets you create, manage, and track contracts linked to your deals and contacts.

Creating Contracts

  1. Navigate to Contracts in the sidebar
  2. Click "Add Contract"
  3. Fill in contract details: title, contact, company, value, currency
  4. Add contract terms, start date, and end date
  5. Optionally link to a deal or quote

Contract Lifecycle

Contracts typically follow these statuses:

  • Draft: Being prepared, can still be edited
  • Sent: Shared with the customer for review
  • Signed/Active: Customer has agreed, contract is in effect
  • Expired: Contract has passed its end date
  • Cancelled: Contract was cancelled before completion

Sharing Contracts

  • Generate a shareable public link for customers to view the contract
  • Customers can view contract details without logging in
  • Copy the share link and send via email or messaging

Contract-to-Order Conversion

Once a contract is signed, you can create an order directly from it — all line items and details carry over automatically.

Commission Triggers

If you have a commission rule with trigger "Contract Signed", commissions are automatically created when a contract status changes to "signed" or "active".
